A Lesson To Be Learned

This Is A Lesson To Be Learned For The Artist Who Do Not Write Their Own Songs. I want to be brief and start this conversation off about the artist who is the writer of the songs they sing. There are a lot of the artists today and those of yesteryear, who have never learned how to write their own songs, but rather sing the songs of  others, other songwriters that is. This brings us ask the question, who gets the residual from a song that was not written by the artist? Below is a link to a story where Dolly Pardon is the writer and Whitney Houston is the singer/artist.

There is a lesson or two to be learned within’ this story. The story is brief, but it makes a powerful point. Please read, and if you feel you want to leave a comment you are welcome to do so. Post away!
